Montana Governor explains why Real ID sucks

March 10, 2008 6:52am

There's nothing wrong with Real ID and it actually makes a lot more sense than separate forms of ID for each state. I can think of no downsides. You have a drivers license don't you?

Starbucks' formula has changed, let us count the (three) ways.

February 28, 2008 7:35am

How can people afford to spend so much on coffee? I make a pot and fill my thermos before work. Probably costs me $0.50 for 8 cups. Or I could go to starbucks and pay $3+ for a coffee.

It is.

Neat house uses water tank to hold up roof, cool interior

February 8, 2008 4:44am

I don't think having a tank of water would really do much to cool the house down. Maybe a little? If it gets hot out, doesn't the water get warm too?

Honor student suspended for bringing multitool to school

January 23, 2008 5:00am

Gee I graduated high school in '99 and I used to keep a shotgun in the trunk of my car at school during deer season, and definitely remember having .22 bullets scattered in the bottom of my back pack. I guess I knew that the gun was technically against the rules, but at that time it didn't seem like a big deal. Today I think I would go to prison for such an act.

Suburban family discovers hidden room filled with toxic mold and a taunting note

January 7, 2008 5:57am

Getting a mold test is an option on most home inspections. If it's not visible the inspector won't find it without the optional test. In addition if it wasn't plainly visible then the Realtor and bank wouldn't know about it. The only one at fault is the previous owner because he likely signed an agreement with information about known problems like this.

I'm sorry, apparently I missed the proof that global warming is in fact caused by humans. Certainly there is compelling evidence, but to rule out the possibility that we are not causing it, is just as dumb as ruling out the opposite. We don't know for certain what is causing the climate change. I would rather be safe than sorry, but don't rule out the possibility that this is a natural cycle.

If this is honestly as far as I could get with the manager, I'd probably call the police and have them come and investigate the store. If you bought a hard drive from a mom and pop store and came home to find it was full of tiles, would you call the police? I would do the same for Best Buy.

Were they legal or illegal immigrants? How much were they paid? It puts a strain on our economic system to have underpaid immigrant workers in the country. Sure it seams like a lot of money to them so they do it for less. However this brings down the pay for everyone in similar jobs.
