In a way, it's kind of like the evolution of the oil projector. Hey, how about Milk Trick Sky.. (which I hereby claim for my own album title..)
Who really gives a shit about MP3s killing the album?

portable, DJ-less radio stations pandering to their tastes
Funny, I just set up an icecast for my 120GB mp3 collection.. my dj-less radio station spins my entire personal collection and is available anywhere with free net access. I wish I could get access to that from something the size of a pebble.

Ultimate Machine: flip a switch and a hand emerges and flips it back

Am I alone in thinking it would be more amusing if you flipped the switch, and the hand came out and flipped you off?
Against Ben Stein's wishes, lizards rapidly evolve after introduction to island
April 23, 2008 12:58pm
Enough about ben fucking stein. I havent seen the crapsterpiece yet, but all I can think of, every time BB drops his name, is that I have a FOAF who is blacklisted by the arrogant asses in the scientific community, a blacklist that is not based on fact but on the beliefs of those in that community.
Now I don't think any of you posters are understanding the term 'species' correctly; 'species' is an artificial labeling of critters by mankind, and the labeling itself is mutable. One species can change into another as some scientist sees what he believes is proof that this organism isn't really all that different from this other organism as a previous scientist believed.

Italian motorcycle gear company Dainese is testing these in the FIM MotoGP 125cc class this season. It is primarily a collarbone saver.
"regular" motorcycle suits have impact armor at specific places, not just abrasion protection. Pro gear has enormous back protectors.
Ever see the HANS head-and-neck-safety device used in auto racing? It clips the helmet to a frame to prevent hyperextension of the neck. An inflatable collar could go a long way toward doing the same for a highsiding 'squid'.

I went to a Mitre corporation open house almost 25 years ago and saw a live demo of this. you had to stand still for like 20-30 seconds before you showed up on the monitor. and moving your arms about slowly made the image really cool. Not sure how you can get a master's thesis out of ancient technology, but I'm sure there's always a new feature.

Silly Esquire, that wasn't "an" digital-equiment corporation, it was THE Digital Equipment Corporation aka DEC!
