Most of the install guys wear BBY T-shirts. The only uniform similar to that is Geek Squad Ops, which is a black polo shirt.

Or it could be a promotion day, there's something written on the back of the shirt. The nametag he's wearing is definitely not Geek Squad (since it's not a big pewter badge or and ID card on a zipline).

That guy's a Car Audio install tech, not Geek Squad. He's not wearing the most honorable agent attire.

Best Buy apparently spent a lot of money doing research to discover that people with computer problems don't like smug assholes, and they spent a lot time retraining Geek Squad to act as 'hero support'. Apparently, people respond better if they get help on the sly so that they, the computorially inepy, can take credit for the fix.
