FWIW, there was a photography exhibit called "Beyond the Beat Generation" (link goes to flyer). There doesn't seem to be any info. online but I was there and it was cool.

I logged in to say this, but UncleMike beat me to it:

And Forry is still going strong!

This is on lots of blogs, but I'm puzzled why it's not on any of the major news sites, and very few of the blogs say where they got this info. So I'm still treating this as an unconfirmed rumor.

Very sad if it's true.

In any case, there's a very interesting recent documentary about her called "Vampira: The Movie" with new interview footage of her and other classic horror hosts (including Zacherley, Svengoolie and Elvira).
