That's great! We won't have to tolerate Canadian "offensive" films any more! We had too many of them in Greece in the past years, and all were very "offensive".
Can somebody define "other offensive content" for me? It seems a little blurry in a law text.
I suppose they will have to make a list of "offensive" stuff and degrees of "offensivity". A lot of people can work on that!
Bush administration wants Europeans' family details, the right to put armed officials on European planes, and a pre-approval for European visitors

It's all about Money.
It's only a benefit measure to give cash to all the Airlines. Here's the deal.
All security agents from all over the world (Sky Marshall, Sky Deputy, Sky SWAT, etc) will travel with a full paid First Class ticket - no discounts please! - since they will have to be "undercover". So, every country will give a huge amount of money to the Airline Companies. All tickets sold in every trip! Hurray!
It's only a conspiracy theory, of course, but wouldn't it be nice? No need for passengers, all planes full of officers... And any traveler who insists to fly in that case, is clear that he (or she) is a terrorist. Otherwise, why bother to fly?
SFWA European Hall of Fame: a chance to read sf from outside of the Anglo Bubble

Dear Cory,
I am glad you liked my story, but I am really gladder (is there such a type?) that you liked the anthology, mostly because James & Kathy really worked hard for it. I know that first-handed.
I only have two minor thinks to add.
Please lose the last e in the word Athose. Its Athos. And the Rumanian author's name is Lucian Merisca. Cezar Ionescu is the translator's name.
I am really thrilled by the rest of your post. It's not easy to understand this gap between native English speakers and the rest of us. And up to now I never show that as an advantage. So your post was illuminating for me too.
Writing SF in a "small" language, is like walking in a minefield. But this is something we should talk about in a EuroCon or a bar, with plenty of drinks and time, not in a comment here.
Thanx again,
Panagiotis Koustas

It's a really amusing discussion up to now and I certainly improve my English reading it (that's my secret agenda) but I think that this is serious. I mean, when you let ANYONE judge what art should (or should not) do, you certainly shoot Democracy and Basic Freedoms in the leg.
This is not a business issue. It may look like one, but the main point is that it creates a bonus-mallus system based on the content of a work of art. And if you live in a Free Economy, this is the easiest way to control art. Making some, already difficult, issues financially "untouchable".
