Coin jar calculator

HSBC in the UK have a coin machine that will take all your change and credit it straight into your account. I told a friend just before xmas I'd do his change for him rather than him pay the 8% in a supermarket machine; he met me with (no kidding) a small suitcase full of change, £50 in 5ps and another £70 in copper - we monopolized the macine for 55mins feeding it all in, 6000+ coins :)
Radioactive products

I was wikisurfing today and read up on a bunch of nuclear-based topics; the Shoe-Fitting Fluoroscope was a particular favourite:

Best way to see if your child's new shoes fit? Xray them so you can see where the bones are! And incidentally get a 4x maximum safe yearly dose of radiation in one minute. I'd hate to have been a sales-floor op around one of these things.
Briefly, natch.

Soviet watches

As always, Ebay has some nice examples; I bought one from the guy who runs http://www.russianwatch.net and sells from both the site and ebay.
Mine has the 24 at the top, and took some time getting used to :)
