Woman goes on YouTube to air divorce grievances

April 16, 2008 2:41pm

I can't bear to watch it. Yukky yukky yukky.

Didn't these people's parents ever teach them NOT to air their dirty laundry in public? How classless, graceless and inelegant to make such a video.

And I concur with the other comments: how is this wonderful again? Boing Boing, please don't go trashy on us. Pleeeeeeeeeeze.

Free Range Kids, blog for raising kids without being freaked out about safety all the time

@#17 ab3a: That was a wonderful comment. Your perspective really helped me formulate some thoughts that I need to share with friends who recently became parents. They have become the uber-helicopters and they're becoming almost unbearable to be around - I really have to say something but until I ran across your comment, I couldn't seem to find the right words!

My favourite line: "I notice many parents regarding their children as precious possessions instead of interesting personalities."

Bingo! Thank you!

Touching story. Puts the poignancy of loss into sharp relief.

Video of "Japanese Only" signs in Japan

April 7, 2008 2:11pm

No matter how much I disagree with it, I respect their right as a sovereign nation to apply whatever rules they wish within the boundaries of their own land.

The way I see it is "Their country, their rules. Don't like it? Don't go!".

I've been on a lot of flights where they've done this. It's really not such a big deal. Let's all get over the paranoid nonsense please.

Pro golfer hits balls at hawk until he kills it, then denies he tried to kill it

"Who cares if a hawk dies?"

That's just wrong. No, it's not human but it's still a living creature.

Man creates vigilante robot to battle drug dealers

March 5, 2008 9:56am

Awesome! I wish I had one of these for our local park! Homeless people hang out there all night long (especially when the weather is warm) and use the badly-lit areas as their own personal bathrooms.

Screw you, you bums. There are so many shelters around the city. Go to one and stop shitting in the park!

Barack Obama, Hindi filmi star

February 26, 2008 7:04am

The words have absolutely nothing to do with Barack, politics or the United States. They seem to be just the lyrics of a Hindi film song smashed in there.

The words translate loosely as follows:

Come, come, come (the aaja aaja aaja bit)
Quietly quietly I will love the beautiful one
Quietly quietly matters of the heart we will discuss
When will she come, somebody please tell me
I have been searching for so long for her

No propaganda as far as I can tell. Just your standard Bollywood inanity. :-)
