Reminds me of a thing they used to have at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago as part of the coal mine exhibit... I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, but it was a small theatre, and the outside looked like a victorian ship that would drill into the earth. Inside, it would move around while you watched a video about traveling to the center of the earth. It was really neat! Unfortunately, I think it's gone now.
