Analyst: RadioShack to emulate Apple Stores

All I have to say is it is fortunate we still have Mouser and DigiKey for parts. I quit buying Rippoff Shack parts about 10 years ago - go in, buy a part, and it ends up being floor sweepings that some poor schmuck put into blister packs. Or, worse yet, buy a 1/8 stereo plug, take it out of the package, and have the tip and center connectors come apart in your hand. THAT was fun. Good thing I did not have it plugged into anything at the time that happened.
Oh, and #28 - those never did suck very well. Spend another $5 and buy a Sold-A-Pult. They work a lot better.

it does look like CS to me too. Good lord I hate anything that even comes close to that font. I have a Magellan GPS that uses a similar font. I cringe every time I turn it on.

SOS is 100 years old: ...---...---...---...---
July 2, 2008 1:49pm
SOS is still in use. Amateurs use it on CW. Some of the poorer nations of the world still use the 500-510 kHz band on their ships at sea.
And yes, it should be SOS SOS SOS, not SOSOSOSOS.
Also, the CQD/SOS debate is not quite right when it comes to the Titanic. Yes, the radio ops on the Titanic sent both CQD and SOS. But the other ships in the area did not "think they were having a party" because of the two different signals. They thought they were having a party because of the flares the Titanic was setting off.
The radio op on the Californian was not confused by CQD/SOS - he could not have been. He had shut off the radio for the night and gone to bed.
Because of the Californian, it was from then on required that there always be a radio op on duty 24/7 - not a change to SOS.

Has to be the giraffe is fake - after all when was a giraffe head so tiny as to cast a shadow that is 1/4 inch wide? Maybe a pygmy giraffe, I guess, but I don't recall ever hearing of one of those...

These are cards from CB'ers, not hams.
For some good ham QSL cards, check out this flickr set.

Got mine about a year ago. Had some REALLY big issues with it resetting when I was on bittorrent. The only thing I can figure is that the number of connections was causing it to go wacky.
However, shortly after I got the thing, Apple released a couple of patches. The first seemed to make it work with torrents, then the second one fixed it completely.
No issues with UPnP at all, nor with the NAS. I have seen weirdness with the XBOX 360, but it has been a long time since I had to change the XBOX settings.
It really is a great wifi point. Very happy I got it.
