For me, colognes and perfumes have always had a "color" that I smell, in addition to the scent itself.

Spot-on. Stanislav Grof has a voluminous book on and called "LSD Psychotherapy." Some of the case studies he detailed working with (and successfully treating) would end up medicated beyond recognition in a psychiatric hospital nowadays. Leary's work met with significant results, but is glossed-over because of poor controls he set on his prison experiment. With the current scheduling of psychedelics, it's doubtful that anyone will attempt to reproduce his original results.

The best part of the series...

Automan could summon the Autocar (with the bold exclamation "Cursor! The Autocar!" IIRC). The car cornered at intersections in split-second right angle turns. So you'd see the human inside the car go "WHOOF" as they were thrown into the door, then a "THUD" as they slid back down into the seat a second later. This was generally followed with a comment like, "Do you ALWAYS have to do that?"
