Awesome! This seems to include a detailed desription of a few that lasted a few years. The fancy-pants commercial ones I always used to see in the mall claim to last that long, but they look too sterile for my tastes.

As as I recall, on being unable to read a disk, the Atari 810 floppy drive would become angry and bellow at the user like an angry rhinoceros.

To this day, I'm not sure if the drive's designers just hated us, or simply did not want us to be able to use them while other people in the house were alseep.

It immediately reminded me of 8, which turns out to be by the same people. I'm not sure if these games are for me, but I like the art direction.
