Liquids and metal impede RFID readers. One could make a foil packet to keep one's passport. If you had time and a lot of ingenuity, you could make a passport sleeve with water in between two layers.

Thanks for mammarizing me, LILLITHVF1998. I'm chuffed. Nawp, not on WFMU anymore but archives of my Subgenius rants are still available deep in the vaults of their site.
(Note: the dates for the rants are meaningless exceptin' for the year.)
Down with the FCC! Or, should I say, up theirs! Choose the most convenient one.

Man repeatedly calls late wife's voicemail

Good grief, this is eerily like a recent television show episode where a psychotic manga artist calls his girlfriend's voice mail after she's been murdered by a gang. Don't ask me what show that would be as I don't recall.
Yes, good for Verizon but it's obvious that they are milkiing the good publicity from this.
Dance number from Pop Gear, 1965 Brit Invasion movie

Pop Gear is a fantastic time capsule. It was probably great to see in a theater with the widescreen aspect ratio and the cinematography is blazingly good. You can even enjoy someone like milquetoast Matt Monroe because of the way that it's filmed.

There was some PR stuff a few years ago about a company that was trying to miniaturize RFID to the size of grains of sand. Not sure what the progress is on that.
The RFID industry is full of PR and other stuff too.
