I think you're underestimating the cost of colonizing Mars. Then again, are you suggesting a terraforming project that would make Mars habitable or are you just suggesting building domed cities that would provide controlled environments? There are a lot of social networking sites in Japan that are cell-phone only (Mobile Game Town, Redacted Profile) or which are available for both cell phones and PCs (mixi) which are making a hell of a lot of money.

The guy who created mixi is now a billionaire (and a large number of mixi users only access mixi through their cell phones).

I don't understand why this is surprising to anyone. This has happened countless times throughout geological history. Major climate shifts cause countless species which are poorly adapted to the new climate to die off, which creates a gaps in ecosystems that are quickly filled by other species which are more suited to thrive in the new climate.

If you look carefully (or visit the site), you can see that the skateboard farthest on the right depicts a young boy wearing a schoolgirl uniform and panties, who has a massive erection, and a young girl, half-naked girl, who is in the process of pulling off the boys panties.
