I don't mind cruises, but the reason I go is for the boat, not so much the destination. They're more like floating resorts, these days. Going alone would be a trial, but when you go with someone you know, or a group, it's actually a lot of fun.

I tried that link, and after it installed it told me that it was the third release candidate for Firefox 3.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't expect this kind of problem, and have planned for it. Hope for the best, expect the worst, when dealing with internet buzz!

Actually, Rogue, I really enjoy my rice cooker, as opposed to just doing it on the stove. Normally when I make rice, I'm cooking other things as well, so it's one thing I don't have to worry about; just throw it in, add the water to the line, and push the button. Of course, with an electric range, it can be difficult getting the temperature of the element just right, and the rice cooker does make that easier too.

I have an egg cooker from the local Wal-Mart type store, Fred Meyers. It cost about $20, and will do what the other one describes. What I like it best for is doing batches of 6 hard boiled eggs without having to watch a stove. Or even have a stove, for that matter, and it's kind of tricky to hard boil an egg in the microwave ;)

I wonder if he was happy or sad the lights didn't go out like in the other elevators... I would have gone a little more mad perhaps with total darkness for so long.

He'd probably sell more if Barry came in different sizes.

Another point I've had on this issue that I have always wondered about the validity of: Okay, so we have pedophiles looking at sexual pictures of children (like the chief spokesman for the University of Miami football team, Rick Korch). This is wrong because children were used in actual sexual situations to produce the photos, and by creating them it perpetuates more photos to be created.

However, what about drawings? What if someone was found with drawings of children in compromising situations on their computer, instead of photographs? I somehow doubt people would be happy that the person is satisfying their urges without harming anyone, and let them go on their way.

Ah, #14, that's one of the things I tend to despise too... The term "sex offender" covers quite a lot of ground these days. It can mean a 36 year old male with a 6 year old male, but it can also mean a 19 year old male with a 17 year old female.

I think we need to come up with more terms than "sex offender", the same way I think we need to come up with more terms than "drugs" to use in our blanket statements when we are trying to get emotions all fired up for whatever reason.

@5: I agree Mike, I was kind of making a point with my post. I can't tell you the number of times I've seen pedophiles scorned in forum threads. I feel sorry for them, myself. If something turns you on, it just does. With luck, they have other avenues of gratification they can fall back on.

What if he drives another car? Why can't they just have it permanently tattooed on his forehead? After all, it's not like he'll ever stop being a pedophile, right?

My sister and brother-in-law tried this with NWAirlines.com, a long time back. They put up a homepage that suggested it was for scuba divers in the northwest, but since they hadn't ever updated the page since they registered the domain, they didn't have a leg to stand on and eventually gave it up to them. Actually, they had been pissed at NW Airlines' service and were squatting, yep.
