I have been building such pseudo-science devices for awhile now. What I call light sculptures. My first Tempus Apparatus (time machine), constructed for a local art show a year or two back, can be viewed below.

It is believed that Caroline Crachami, the Sicilian Fairy, was the first documented primordial dwarf. She toured Europe in 1824 and passed away that same year. Her story is both tragic and inspiring.

Canadian artist Rob Sacchetto, who has been featured on Boing Boing before for his custom Zombie Portraits, recently completed a throwback Tales from the Crypt / EC Comics style tale of zombie terror set in the jungles of Viet Nam.
