This is an unfortunate situation. I'm going to fess up and admit that i don't have all of the answers; there seems to be a good amount of anger here directed toward the police, which i understand and tend to agree with, but what is the alternative? In order to fix something there needs to be an answer, and so far no one has provided one, including myself.
