Demented Xmas compilation mixes from Suburban Sprawl

December 3, 2007 11:59am

Not at all of dubious legality. All the bands involved signed off on it. Its a non-exclusive distribution deal.

Zach Curd (who you mention) is one of the guys who runs the label. He's also a friend of mine.

No legal worries here - and they've been doing it for 6 years now - all of them are available at http://www.suburbansprawlmusic.com/xmas/

Full disclosure: I recorded two of the songs on the album (the Young Bison song and the one Zach and Annie Moss duet on).

MoveOn to Facebook: stop violating user privacy

It looks to me like a couple things are necessary:

1) You have to use the same email for your online purchases as you do for Facebook.

2) When a website tries to add that information to your feed, you have to approve it. Meaning you say its okay for it to show up.

I keep several email addresses so I can compartmentalize what I do online, so this isn't really a problem for me.

Seriously people, common sense goes a long way.
