Ah, my mistake...
I've seen 'the whole thing'(meaning the graphical timeline) now...
Not very scary, really...(could be a slight increase in frequency, or seen as twice as many cases in recent years)...just depends on how you look at it.

Not really, your nice graphic doesn't seem to show any increase in frequency. (Looks like 2 cases/year)
Maybe I'm reading it wrong...

We are told, making music 'makes you smarter.'
If there is any truth to this, the 'being smarter' is more likely to be attributed to the learning of musical notation, theory, (ie. exercising the brain) and the repeated practical application of these elements, than the use of 'auto-musical-devices.'
Such quick-fix methods of musical production (that require no knowledge of scales, chords, or time-signatures, etc) surely cannot be said to increase intelligence. -Perhaps creativity, or a willingness to experiment with sound, but not intelligence... Think about it, just for a moment.

When unscrupulous groups 'expose' their target, to the general public, they tend (fortunately) to generate vast ammounts of sympathy for the 'exposed.'
Such attempts (used to justify a group's own distastfull behaviour) should be (and usually are) viewed with distrust. I ask myself, 'Why am I being told personal secrets, about an individual?'
...No one likes a tell-tale.
