Hairspray will remove most pen and marker from most surfaces. Lighter Fluid is amazing at taking the sticker tack off of anything including paper.

I really like it! It is sort of like having individual slip cases for each book. You want get damage from the covers rubbing together and it will really obvious when you let people borrow them.

I love how worked up people get over this book, when there is twice as much information in any undergraduate chemistry text book. The science in which you could actually trust.

I just finished reading this series (the trilogy) and now I am terrified. He writes some of the most gut-wrenching cliff-hanger endings I have ever read... so if he is planning on continuing this series, I really need to know so I can have all the books ready at once.
It was hard enough waiting for a year after Pretties to find a copy of Specials. I don't think I can go through that again.

Hey, they got off pretty light in my experience. A buddy and I started a textbook swap type site in college, we got a cease and desist from the state attorney journal for using the school mascots name in our URL.

Magic, Tarot and the graphic novels are the big ones stolen. Working in a used book store it is always amazing to see who brings in what. Scabby hands and an unopened current PDR are usually the first steps to a trespass.
It amazes me there are booksellers willing to purchase stolen books. We try to keep thieves out of our store if they are selling or "buying." Sometimes though you just can't tell and they can be incredibly creative.
We got a call once from a large corporate book store saying their entire graphic novel section had been stolen. Someone had walked out with the books and the shelf itself.
