International ferry terrorism search called off: they were just tourists

Yeah, tourists, alright...OF TERRRRRRRRR!
NYC-inspired cardboard dollhouses

Ditto on that "yikes" about the price. I can recommend imagination, markers, and Fresh Direct boxes. You get about 15 free with any order in NYC!
Ben Stein: "science leads you to killing people"
May 2, 2008 12:53pm
Of course Ben Stein has his opinions, and he has a right to them just as much as anyone else, but the issue here is that he is broadcasting his opinions through media accessible to thousands of people. I think it's perfectly legitimate to mock and pester high-visibility people whom I find idiotic, to diffuse the efficacy of their message. I don't have an ounce of respect for George W. Bush, for example, and there's no way I would ever decline to express that opinion just out of some notion of respect. Bullshit needs to be called out. "Teaching the controversy" and allowing blatant nonsense to enter unchecked into an argument, especially when in comes to education (helloooo!), is just garbage masquerading as productive dialogue.

NYPD cops videoed illegally warring on photographers

I have been a pedestrian while CM is holding one of their "protests," and it was damned scary! It is a bewildering message that a mob of cyclists who disregard all rules of the road while terrorizing the populace can somehow "raise consciousness" about bikers in a positive way.
Also, I walk the streets of Manhattan every single day. With almost 100% consistency, it is bikers who run red lights and zip past people crossing the street with absolutely zero regard for safety. Cars do run red lights now and again, but nowhere near as often as bikes.
Boise pizzeria: "Think Spring, Boing Boing Boing!"

They obviously only make pizza in the singular. Must be damned 'spensive!
Ill. Rep. Monique Davis: it's dangerous for children to know atheists exist, orders atheist to stop testifying
April 8, 2008 11:38am
I personally think it's dangerous to believe in a god who would allow the deaths of 600 Chicagoans during the 1995 heat wave. Well, Chicago was too decadent, wasn't praying hard enough, and deserved what it got, a la New Orleans, right?
(Apologies if double post)
Ted Turner: global warming could lead to cannibalism

Ted Turner is to brains what Donald Trump is to taste.
