@88, GEMMA, How funny that you and I should have the same comment. I just posted mine and saw yours come up when I refreshed... unless I'm sometimes GEMMA?!? Yes of course, it all makes sense now!

Usually I like Boing Boing. It's smart, it's witty; it speaks to me.
This posting however is brilliant! Think about it, a posting entitled "Untitled 1". It's poetic almost.
Mark has really outdone himself with this one.
Shoes are bad for your feet? Vindicating the barefoot set

I like mine. I don't where them every day, but there are opportunities where they get plenty of miles. I bought mine with a strap, but for the way I use them, I'd buy the pair without the strap now.
Scientology strikes back at "Anonymous" via YouTube
March 14, 2008 12:14pm
And now the account is suspended. Not really that interesting. Basically the video was just a list of the different "threats and harrasments" the "church" has received. The power of Anon is that it really does function more or less in the same capacity as a terrorist group, it is headless and comprised of individuals or small groups acting under the same banner. That is also its weakness.
I don't know if that video was intended to be a threat to Anon, but CoS is going to have a tough time dismantling a group that doesn't actually exist as a group. I won't be surprised either way if anything does or does not take place tomorrow.
The real question everyone should be asking is if that video wasn't posted today to provoke Anon. It may not have actually been created by CoS, and I'd be surprised if it were. However, that would be just the sort of thing to cause Anon to "take action". There would have already been a backlash tomorrow, but this just amplified it.

And my favorite... OK, really two for 12 words, but they could be used on their own or together:
I'm just to the good part,
Now I'll never know what happens.

Evolution of the heart emoticon <3
November 26, 2007 2:14am
My favorite comment so far must be #7 Alden's. If I ever meet a girl who responds like that, she'll have stolen my heart (or should I say <3) forever. I've never really liked that emoticon though. I've seen it for maybe the past 2 or 3 years, but it always bugged me that it is backwards. I've noticed a trend lately of writing other emoticons backwards too, like (-:, which just feels wrong somehow. 0_o It makes me feel dirty.
Anyway, not much substance to this post, but the fact that folks are bothering to comment on it says something. If BB isn't an appropriate forum to have these kinds of discussions, I don't know what is.
Ad for hot Dr Pepper

Hot DP is very good. I used to have a cup every now and then when I lived in Texas. The funniest thing was when I was up in Colorado one Winter, some folks had some heated up in thermoses and were giving away cups to cold, tired, skiiers and boarders.

This particular boomerang works simply because the lift is generated on one side more than the other, and the differential and stability is maintained by its gyroscopic properties. I'm pretty sure that there are some types of boomerangs that rely on a stall to return. In that case, in a zero-g environment (not to be confused with "space"), I don't believe the boomerang would work.
