The science fiction book art of Richard Powers

Scraps, That's cool! I love Tanguy's work and Powers really nailed it. He made it his own while obviously drawing a certain influence.

Fudge Daleks

Fudge Dalek sounds weirdly sexual. Like hot karl or dirty sanchez.

It could also be a great band name.

Walking Dead 7: The Calm Before -- compelling, pitiless zombie comic

November 21, 2007 8:04am

I love Walking Dead so much.

So much that I had to stop reading it. I got so depressed and yet so compelled by the story of it. I just had to stop. It's THAT good.

Maybe on a super bright sunny day I will get 6 & 7 and then rent Caddyshack and play that while I'm reading WD.

Blade Runner "Final Cut" in the Works

September 3, 2007 6:02pm

New biopic on Joy Division, Ian Curtis: Control

August 31, 2007 4:09pm

This does look awesome! I am looking forward to it. Doubt it will ever get to Maine. but one can dream.

I had the best Joy Division/New Order moment this morning. Driving my kid to the last day of summer camp, she was listening to "Regret" on her walkman (probably the last good song New Order has written) and I was listening to Substance on the car stereo. I finally turned off JD because I wanted to hear my girl sing Regret so heartfully.

Precious moments.

I will stalk them when I get to Iceland. Make a note of it.
