C'mon people. Lab meat? You just know that it will taste like something from your elementary school cafeteria. Probably not even that good.

Just because a person can fly a jumbo jet doesn't mean they have any real intelligence in many other areas of their lives. Having that skill doesn't keep you from being a clueless schmuck.

I've watched food stylists also, I used to be in commercial photography. You can be very creative to make the food look good and not have to enhance the product in illegal ways.

As for the waste issue, I'm now an artist who now is ever so lucky enough to be a baker in a chic grocery store (for insurance purposes). If you want to see waste, go behind a supermarket as the out of date products are being thrown out every morning. It would boggle your minds. I mean it. It's shocking at first.

One thing is for sure- there is no such thing as a death ray. No one ever says, "OK, that seems to work really well. But let's not use it until we know all it's true implications."
