If you had bothered to RTFA you would have seen this:
Just as we were leaving, I noticed a pickup truck heading towards us. As I drove past him, I noticed him make a U-turn in my rear-view mirror. After a couple of turns, it became apparent that he was following us. I drove completely legally, even used my turn signals, but after I got on the freeway and he followed us there, I began to get annoyed. I got off, pulled into a parking lot to wait for him to pull over, but he kept going.

I have a LOT of family in Memphis, they ALL have a HEAVY twang and still call people from IL & MO Yankees.
Granted they have ALL lived their entire lives down there, not to mention the huge amount of people from there that DO have a twang that are younger (I.E. in their teens-30's)

I really wonder what the world would be like today the October/Bolshevik revolution had not occurred and the initial aims of the revolution had been able to play out with the Constituent Assembly.
On another note Anarchism an the Comintern were major world forces prior to the '20's. That was about the time that the government started deporting and jailing the Socialists, Anarchists, & Communists for promoting the no conscription league as a protest to our entrance to WWI.
I have to agree with the earlier post promoting Emma Goldman, talk about a person who wouldn't compromise their beliefs. We need more people like her in our day and age.

Over 700,000 people are on terrorist watchlist, according to US gubmint
March 14, 2008 3:33pm
But let me remind you that just 20 terrorists destroyed three large buildings and four aircraft, blew a hole in a heavily-defended military command center, and killed around 3,000 people. Just think what 10,000 could do!
Oh, yes. And let's not forget that our own airforce which should have brought the planes down in the first place had their thumbs up their asses that morning. And I have sever doubts that a plane actually hit the pentagon.
My question is when are the following names going to be part of that list:
Gerald Ford
Richard Nixon
Jimmy Carter
Ronald Reagan
George H. Bush
Bill Clinton
George W. Bush
Dick Cheney
Rumsfeld
Rice
And all of the others that have supported and propped up and supported state sponsored terrorism in countries like:
Iran
Nicaragua
Cuba
El Salvador
Honduras
etc.........

Cop roughs up teenage skateboarder on video
February 14, 2008 12:02pm
Regardless of whether these kids were in the wrong, the relevant fact is that the "dude" abused his power and authority.
The biggest wonder I have is how many other times has this guy overstepped his boundaries and abused citizens and NOT been caught on video.
This guy should be fired and charged with assault and battery to a minor plain and simple, if that kid would have done that to him, he wouldn't see the light of day until he was 30 (if he even lived afterward).
The abuses and apologists of the police forces nationwide have got to stop. They caught his violent actions on tape and now not only is it a local issue, but also a national issue.
Remember people, cameras watch us wherever we go and we are filmed constantly doing mundane actions.
But that same thing empowers citizens to take on and publicize abuses by the state/municipality as well.

Portland police are getting more bold by the day with their "non-lethal" weapon use.
Almost every week we hear about some disgusting abuse of power to commit violence against a citizen of our city.
I know for a fact that police work is not easy and they deal with a lot of dregs of society.
BUT! this is becoming a regular occurrence. Recently a sheriff's deputy (I know sheriffs are not municipal) boasting on a COH bulletin-board about shattering a prisoners eye-socket, and having the prisoner agree to all charges to get away from the deputy.
All you have to to is google: "Portland Police brutality"
To get a good idea how an encounter is going to turn out.
I was told by a Portland police thug, that I: "needed to give him a good reason not to pull me out of my car and beat the fuck out of me in the middle of the street" ..... After not understanding the way they had flares set up at a wreck at an intersection.
I completely complied with all of his direction, did not give him attitude, and spoke in a respectful manner (i.e. "Sir")
Police abuses are getting bolder and more frequent by the day.
