sigh ... CDMA doesn't use frequency hopping. CDMA uses code-space orthogonality, not frequency orthogonality. GSM, on the other hand, does have a frequency hopping mode for interference avoidence. Can't you guys get anything right?...

XBee works on 2.4 GHz. I assume this is the 2.4 GHz ISM band which is also used by WiFi. Any ideas on how/if XBee plays nicely with WiFi?...

Oh, and by the way, Seattle and SF are huge collective pains in the a$$ for radio deployments. Both are too hilly and surrounded by too much salt water. What you really want is a land-locked, low-slung city like Phoenix....
