  You know, the 1980's weren't exactly a good time for Iggy musically. This is before the Lust For Life revival brought on by Trainspotting and he'd made some lousy records. I agree the original RM soundtrack was amazing and a perfect snapshot of the time. Smell bands might be an interesting take, but I don't think they have much in common with the original group of bands save for being in L.A.   Oh man, I'm so excited! When I'd repo cars in the SF bay area, we'd take along the soundtrack to play as we drove off. Once a nutjob called the cops on us in the Castro, and the cops started quoting Repo Man! I read an interview with Alex Cox once and he said that for everyone loving this movie and how tons of directors that say it greatly influenced them, the studio insists it never made money....

  THANK YOU,THANK YOU,THANK YOU.I have wondered about this short movie since we lived in long beach in the mid 60's.I saw it on TV after school and kept watching that show to see it again,I was in third grade.I just got a shwinn stingray for my birthday and my older brother(in high school)had some scateboards I would ride down the street.I never remembered very much of the movie but this is it ,another mystery solved via the internet.My brother probably remembers the Rolling hills theater.I'll have to look up Malaga cove,thanks again,Rick....
