In the future if you ever come across Sideshow and Circus related materials and need additional information the go to guy is Todd Robbins, former dean of the Coney island Sideshow School. He keeps a website up at http://www.toddrobbins.com/ You can also find a number of Youtube videos of him performing acts, talking a bit about some of their histories and also his work on Conman methods....

I was computerless yesterday, otherwise I coulda been #1. As has been mentioned by LadyI, the photo is by Edward J. Kelty. I saw it at the International Center Of Photography in NY, at their show of Kelty's work in 2002. As posted above, he ICP's page about the show is at http://museum.icp.org/museum/exhibitions/kelty/ It includes great information about the photographer. Not mentioned earlier (I think) — there's an excellent catalogue of the ICP show, including this photo and many others. Info is at the ICP page above... but it's out of print and not available there. WigWam Indeed, I understand some of the history of eugenics. Between 1907 and 1970, 60,000+ people where forcibly sterilized in the US. I saw a very good documentary on it recently, "Darwin's Dangerous Idea", on the BBC. The moment I saw this little girl I fell in love. I can understand how tough some of the things in her life can be. When I was 8 I was diegnosed with a brian tumor in the corpes colosome. As much as I am an inspiration for some, she is an insperation to me. God Bless her....
