  ...The most glaring omission in this compilation is, of course, any one of the first three NBC "Peacock" opens, as well as either the "Camera" or "Snake" NBC closings....

  It's funny how many of these sounds reminds me of longing... sadness that the show is over. Some other ones also remind me of being sick. Example: The Hanna Barbara one came on after older cartoons which only played during the day on weekdays-- when I'd normally be in grade school. Pretty interesting--- great compilation....

  Wow - what i am amazed at is how many of these logos I remember and strike some sort of emotional/nostaligic response. How is it that I remember after so many years? Seems the sort of throw-away info our brains would have dumped long ago! I must have watched a LOT of TV as a kid! Oh, and the WGBH meant NOVA - I could stay up to watch it or go to bed... um... a "no brainer" ;)...
