Commented on Dyson's Air Multiplier looks great, feels good, hurts wallet
Wow that thing is loud (from the embedded player). I wouldn't want that thing running in my home or office. Sounds like one of Dyson's Air Blades in a public restroom....

Commented on A bidet wherever you go
I've actually thought of buying one of these. They are a lot cheaper if you look elsewhere than SkyMall, like on Sanicare's Web site. I have a bidet toilet seat from Sanicare and it is really hard to live without...

Commented on Sony patent for any object as vidgame controller
I can't believe this made it through the Patent office. Oh, wait... yes I can. There has to be thousands of pages of prior art for such a system, including Microsoft's Project Natal....

Commented on United Airlines wants to charge large people for two seats
I forgot to mention: Despite what several have said- I contend that coach airlines seats have not gotten any narrower for the better part of 40 years. Their width is based on the width of the aircraft, and narrowing the...

Commented on United Airlines wants to charge large people for two seats
I'm a bit on the chunky side, but not so much that I impact those next to me when I fly. I have sat next to some obese people over the years, and it did make for a very unpleasent...

Commented on Cold dead hand of Frank Herbert reaches up from grave, stabs Dune Second Life megafans in the back
@cubey - Actually Lucas has become pretty famous for supporting/encouraging fan-produced media/productions of his work. He realized a long time ago that it generates new interest (and amounts to a lot of free advertising), especially among younger people. Robot Chicken...

Commented on Bank pushing 120% APR loans
Transaction Fee != Interest Rate My bank has done this for at least five years now, and since they charge the exact same fee- is probably the one in question. Frankly- it's saved my ass on more than a few...

Commented on People who use barrels to catch rain from their roofs breaking law, says State of Colorado
I live in Colorado. This is the same state that is putting farmers out of business by literally taking all of their water rights so suburban sprawl areas like Aurora and Highlands Ranch have more water for their lawns....

Commented on Photo gallery of Mike Tyson's abandoned house
I really think credit should be given where credit is due, especially given BoingBoing's support of reasonable rights for artists. These pictures were blatantly ripped-off from: http://illicitohio.illicitohio.com/tyson.htm At least their address is still visible, despite a sorry attempt at covering...

Commented on Traffic linked to heart attacks
Hmm... So my company changed my work shift from a traffic-friendly 6-3 to a 7-4, giving me upwards of 1-hour more time sitting in traffic each day. This study is definitely something to file away for future reference... :)...

Commented on Tabloid TV Goes After Bailout Babies
LOL! We've been let-down for years by mainstream media journalism, which panders to their corporate overseers and advertisers more than it provides REAL investigative journalism. Anyone who has traveled oversees and especially to Europe will tell you that US journalism...

Commented on Jon Stewart slaughters crazy finance guy Jim Cramer -- video
I'd like to see John crucify Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. Of course I doubt either of them would have the balls to actually go on The Daily Show now. I did actually feel sorry for Cramer after last night....

Commented on It's on: Microsoft sues TomTom over Linux-powered GPS
Microsoft can go copulate themselves with barbed-wire as far as I'm concerned. I hope they lose their asses on this one. (Full disclosure: Yes, I'm a Linux AND TomTom fanboy.)...

Commented on 100Mbps Internet Connection For 11 USD Per Month
Paying $46/mo. for 8mbps down/1mpbs up DSL. I'm lucky to get either with any sort of consistency. Of course, the provider blames upstream. DSL sucks, but cable isn't any better. I long for fiber....

Commented on How to Get Free Electronic Goods In Japan
I confess- I live in a trailer park. This sort of thing happens there all the time. And yes- there are high-tech geeks that live in trailer parks. It's cheap to live there- so more money for the newest gadgets......
