  Thanks Cory for putting up the video and thanks everyone for the comments! And yes I agree it wasn't actually a 'sitcom'...(I couldn't think of a better word...I kept remembering that people used to pray in front of their TV sets while it was on) but now I do remember 'Epic' or 'Religious' serial is the word still used in India for these serials.   Um, not to re-open old wounds or anything, but boingboing already got its shout-out from urbandictionary long ago: for the newspeak- unpublish I HAVE NO OPINION on that particular issue apart from to say that I honestly value what it taught me about thinking twice, and taking into account new-media ramifications when editing online. I still think of that as a watershed moment of sorts in the history of the internet, and as such, a valuable learning experience, and one which makes me always very careful when I use the term....
